Let's explore the beautiful
Below I listed the places that I enjoyed the most so far! All the landscapes have features that can not be compared to the others. They all are soooo unique!
Mount Victoria offers panoramic views of Auckland City, Rangitoto Island, the North Shore and the Hauraki Gulf. Starting at the top of the pretty seaside town of Devonport, the steep walk will take about 20 minutes to the summit. Mount Victoria Reserve is a great (and free) way to see postcard views of the Auckland region.
Show on mapPukekawa / Auckland Domain is our oldest park and one of the largest. Developed on 75 hectares around the cone of an extinct volcano. The gardens consist of two large glasshouses, one non-heated Temperate House and one Tropical House. The Wintergardens are home to a range of rare plants species, botanical displays and a fernery.
Show on mapBastion Point is a coastal piece of land in Auckland, overlooking the Waitematā Harbour. The area is significant in New Zealand history as the site of protests in the late 1970s by Māori against forced land alienation by European settlers. You can visit Michael Joseph Savage Memorial park along the way.
